"Oahu O'o" - Oil painting - 25"x15
The now extinct O'o or Honey eater was at one time present on all the islands in one variety or another. This beautiful subspecies flourished on the island of Oahu. Already in decline when the first Europeans landed, only four specimens were ever taken from the wild. It is from these four specimens that this portrait was reconstructed. The dramatic atmosphere behind the O'o suggests its impending doom.

Giclee (prints on canvas) only. S/N edition of 98 - $350.00
Original Oil available for $16,780.00
